Harte Peat was set up in 1987 by Tommy and Kay O' Harte to provide quality casing soil to the mushroom industry. Harte Peat remains a family run business with 2 generations of the O'Harte family in key roles in the business today.

Customer Support

All our sales are backed up with technical support. It is a hands on process, with our team visiting customers on site.  We can be onsite when your order arrives to talk you through how to get the best value and performance from our products. We visit a large number of professional growers regularly to pass on some tips on how to get the most out of our products. It works both ways though, as we never leave a farm without learning from you the Mushroom grower.

With a fully integrated automated production facility Harte Peat has full control over the entire process, from gathering the raw material, to the mixing, bagging, packing and shipping of the final mushroom casing product. This allows Harte Peat to exercise strict and exacting standards on production quality and costs, to ensure that you our customers get the best possible product for your mushroom growing, at the best price. We oversee all quality control aspects at the Mushroom Casing Post Production Plant with independently verified adherence on all mushroom casing matters.
